Human Rights

This Department has actively assisted clients in promoting affirmative action and training in that regard.  It has also acted pro bono for organisations viewed as being worthy of such assistance.  Such organisations historically include various Informal Settlement Groups, Prisoner Rights Movements & Pro-Bono.org. Mr Nepaul finds the equal treatment as one of the most important practices that each South African should practice having grown up in Clairwood amongst the diverse community of mixed races which was later faced by racial segregation when the Group Areas Act came into effect and ultimately disrupted his life.

Forensic Litigation

Mr. Anand-Nepaul heads this Department himself, with having nearly 30 years litigation experience in the Civil, Criminal and Labour Courts and he also holds post graduate qualification in medical law. He is assisted by Professional Assistants and Candidate Attorneys as well as an extensive panel of experts and forensic investigators. The members of this department have established an extremely good working relationship with many experts, advocates and members of the judiciary.  Mr Nepaul works with Serisha Inderjeeth; the only medical Attorney who also is the only Family Law attorney in the firm. This department has and continues to render expert litigation services in both the Magistrates, Regional and High Courts in South Africa.
