We are proud of our Division that concentrates on providing pro bono legal services to indigent clients and which is a service provider to Pro – Bono.org.
We hold the view that the empowerment of emerging attorneys must include a provision to afford opportunities for those attorneys within the major law practices.
Interestingly, in recent discussions held with a major parastatal organisation, the latter expressed the view that a major component of the process of empowerment and skills transfer lies in the provision of work opportunities for emerging attorneys within major law practices.
The Members of our Practice have been consulted to act in black empowerment transactions and are confident that with the support of clients, opportunities for previously disadvantaged lawyers will result in further and continued development of historically disadvantaged practitioners with specialized skills.
We pride ourselves in refraining from token appointments. All our junior attorneys from previously disadvantaged communities are encouraged and assisted to develop areas of specialisation they can excel in. Our Practice has pledged to primarily employ historically disadvantaged individuals to join our professional and support staff.
